Giving Tuesday is December 3!
Giving Tuesday, which always follows Cyber Monday, started in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good…to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity all around the globe.
We will celebrate Giving Tuesday by raising money to support Mary Cariola’s Grow Our Own Staff Development Program. This unique benefit supports employees, at all levels and across all programs, who are pursuing certifications and degrees to advance their career.
Teacher Assistant Tami Sekol is one of 350 Mary Cariola employees who have received support through the “Grow Our Own” program and advanced their Mary Cariola career.
She says, “I have found my niche working with our medically fragile students who have intellectual developmental delays. Many in the world overlook them but they are a bright spot. I work with fun, loving and giving kids. I have found at Mary Cariola that there is truth in the statement ‘While they cannot speak they have much to say.’”
