Celebrating our
Graduating Class of 2024!
There was plenty of pomp and circumstance at Mary Cariola Center in June as students, residents, staff, and families celebrated the Class of 2024.
Preschool Classroom Teachers presented Certificates of Accomplishments to forty-three preschool graduates. Sixty percent of these graduates will return to their home school districts (representing five counties) while 40% will continue at Cariola for our outstanding Kindergarten program.
Preschool Director Dana Bennett was beaming with pride at the two preschool ceremonies. The excitement and enthusiasm of each family was palpable as their children approached the stage.
“Our graduates are truly extraordinary, and we are very proud of all that they have accomplished and achieved. They have worked hard while on the program and showed us that with determination and support, anything is possible! The education and therapy teams have worked together to customize their plans each step of the way. We are fortunate to celebrate many milestones events (first school experience, first steps, first words, first friendships) as well as witness the power of confidence and self-advocacy. Their futures are bright, and they will continue to make an impact on our hearts and in our community.”
Our School Age ceremony featured twenty-one energetic graduates ready to start their new chapters.
Graduates are moving on to a variety of adult programs within the local community including programs at CDS Monarch to Lifetime Assistance, Heritage Christian Services and the WOW (With Out Walls) Program at the ARC. Each graduate successfully completed program trials as staff worked with families to find the best fit for their child.
East Avenue Campus Principal Earl Farber reflected on what this year has meant for him.
“I am flooded with fond memories of time spent together in years past along with the amazing times this past year here at East Avenue. I am proud of the work the education team has done in working with each of the graduates, but I am even more proud of the journey the family and the graduates have completed. Their time with us is ending but the memories we have shared will live on for many years to come.”
