This month’s Guest Bloggers are Steve Smola, Owner of Smola Consulting and Jennifer Noce, Analyst at Smola Consulting. Steve has been Co-Chair of our largest community fundraiser, Walking on Sunshine since 2015. He’s recruited his entire Smola team to support the event. Jennifer has been the Chairperson of our Raffle Tent/ Auction area since 2017.
Every year, as the days grow warmer and the sun shines brighter, Smola Consulting eagerly anticipates the Mary Cariola Center's Walking on Sunshine fundraising event. This annual event is not just a walk; it is a testament to the power of community, compassion, and the commitment to support individuals with complex disabilities.
Volunteering at Walking on Sunshine allows us to contribute to the incredible work done by the Mary Cariola Center. This organization provides specialized education and life skills training to children and young adults with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities. The funds raised during this event directly support these essential programs, ensuring that each individual receives the education and care they deserve. By volunteering, Smola Consulting has become an active participant in fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
Walking on Sunshine is filled with laughter, music, crafts, food and the joyous sight of individuals of all abilities walking side by side. It is a powerful reminder of the strength that lies in unity and the incredible impact that collective effort can achieve. Each smile, each cheer, and each step taken is a celebration of the resilience and potential of the human spirit.
Mary Cariola Center's Walking on Sunshine event is a chance to give back to a community that continuously inspires us. By offering our time, energy, and support, we help ensure that Mary Cariola Center can continue its mission of enriching lives and empowering individuals with disabilities. This annual event reflects what we can accomplish when we come together, and it is an honor to be a part of it.
