Natalie Welsh - Hands and Hearts Award

Natalie Welsh, Registered Nurse at our State Road residence, exemplifies the Mary Cariola mission. She continually strives to implement and orchestrate various medical and non-medical solutions and supports for those we serve. She has been a rock-star during this pandemic – helping to develop procedures and changing and updating them after each OPWDD required change. During this year she was not only the RN at State Road but was also the interim RN at our English Road home Imagine covering two homes, training two teams, and ensuring COVID plans specific to the residents and their needs were in place at both houses. She was instrumental in developing our vaccine plan, adjusting her schedule, and administering the vaccine. She goes above and beyond for the residents we serve as well as the individuals that utilize our medical respite. She is a true champion of the residents and works with the residential teams to ensure they receive the best care possible.
