Mary Cariola Center is Grand Marshal of St. Patrick’s Day Parade!
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee invites you to join us for this year’s parade. This community-wide event brings thousands of people to Downtown Rochester. The Parade is a "Moving Show" dedicated to the celebration of St. Patrick, and his life of service to others.
Mary Cariola Center is thrilled to be the Grand Marshal of the 2025 Parade. As the Center recently celebrated its 75th anniversary, Mary’s mission is still alive in the form of a preschool program, school age program and residential group homes. Mary was told early on that her concept of educating and caring for children with developmental disabilities wouldn’t last six months. But Mary’s drive was second-to-none. Her philosophy was that “every child has potential, regardless of a disability.” Her advocacy was 40 years ahead of the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Today, the Mary Cariola Center has evolved into a school that serves over 450 students and 44 residents with intellectual developmental disabilities and medical complexities. We hope you’ll join us and celebrate with us at the 2025 St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
